Throughout my life, the most important thing to me has been and always will be human interaction: the connections that we make, and the relationships that we learns from. I find it truly amazing how much we evolve with every unique encounter with another person. But in this process of making connections to others, I have learned that the most important relationship in your life is the one you have with yourself.
This is why I do what I do. I genuinely love working with people, hearing and relating to their stories, and helping them find the right path to a better tomorrow. So, here is my question to you: what do you want? Some of you may know the answer immediately, and others may need to ponder on it. Stop, feel, and answer to yourself. Sometimes when we determine what we want, we focus too much on the end result so much that we forget to enjoy the journey. Let’s all remember to enjoy the journey.
Our priorities often change, because we change. Major and daily life events alter our perspectives, and lead us to re-shape our desires. Write down your goal on a piece of paper. Maybe it is to find more balance in your life, or to get in shape, or to become more financially stable. To achieve any goal, you will need discipline. That is where I come in. My promise is to inspire and motivate you. I’m coaching you as a personal trainer, but more importantly, I’m coaching you as a friend and teammate. I am a firm believer that starting with self-care for your body and with discipline regarding physical wellness will make all other challenges and goals seem possible, even effortless. For me personally, when I am taking care of my physical well-being, I am able to better control my thoughts and feelings, and am therefore more positive overall!
My own journey has been interesting and I have certainly encountered more than a few bumps in the road and situations that I am still learning from. Through physical wellness I have learned to manage my own panic attacks and anxiety, and to recognizing my inner beauty and strength. I’ve also learned that quite simply, sometimes laughter is the best medicine.
Okay, so now is the time to start somewhere. Start by trying something you’ve never tried before, like free weights, kickboxing, Thai yoga, CrossFit, etc. I guarantee you that just by trying something new you will feel better. And if your new start is training with me, I guarantee to teach you the lifestyle changes for better health and happiness that you can pass on to your own friends and family! Don’t wait to make a new year’s resolution; turn over a new leaf now. So, let’s begin together: let’s smile, let’s sweat, and let’s get you in shape!
